‘Speaking Our Minds’ Book Club

We are thrilled to open our second book club, devoted to Thom Scott-Phillips’ book Speaking Our Minds: Why human communication is different, and how language evolved to make it special. The book has received positive reviews in various media, including the Times Literary Supplement (read Richard Moore’s review here), and has been called “an amazing job” (Stuart West), “the most important and best book ever written on the evolution of language” (Dan Sperber).

The book club opens today and will close in two weeks. Thom Scott-Phillips will discuss his book with Alberto Acerbi, Clark Barrett, Greg Bryant, Mathieu Charbonneau, Liz Irvine, Katja Liebal, Olivier Morin & Denis Tatone, Tiffany Morisseau & Ira Noveck, Kenny Smith, Paulo Sousa & Karolina Prochownik, Dan Sperber, Tim Wharton, Deirdre Wilson, Tad Zawidski. Comments are open to anyone who wishes to participate.
