Assistant Professor position at the University of Neuchâtel
The University of Neuchâtel, Switzerland, invites applications for a position of Assistant Professor (tenure track) of Information and Communication Sciences.
Job description: The successful candidate will teach various courses at the Bachelor’s and Master’s levels at the Faculty of Arts and Humanities, in the Institute of Language and Communication Sciences (Cognitive Science Centre). He / she will conduct high-level international research and show an interest in reasoning, argumentative, and/or persuasive phenomenon in communication processes. He / she will also supervise Master’s and PhD dissertations.
Requirements: Applicants must hold a doctorate in a relevant discipline, and have strong teaching skills. A good understanding of some of the disciplines involved in the Bachelor and Master degrees will be considered an advantage (social psychology, communication sciences, linguistics, comparative psychology, etc.). Courses will be taught in French at the BA level and English at the MA level. Preferred candidates have an extensive experience in research oriented in cognitive science and have a particular interest in experimental methods and statistics.
Starting date: August 2017 – or upon agreement.
